A South African national with an address at Bank Lodge, Knockraheen, Roundwood in Co Wicklow, Ireland has been sentenced to two years in jail with all but four months suspended.

Angelo Galati faces drug charges
Angelo Galati, 42, of Bentleigh East, a weightlifting champion known as “Mr Bench” is facing charges of steroid possession.
The weightlifter appeared at Moorabbin Magistrates’ Court on January 14 after being charged with possessing anabolic steroids.

The Italian Olympic Committee, CONI, has banned Danilo Di Luca for two years after he failed to clear a dope test.
The ban of Di Luca will expire on July 21, 2011.

Emanuele Sella, the Italian cyclist, has admitted at a hearing before the Italian Olympic Committee that he made use of banned substances.
The Giro d’Italia King of the Mountains tested positive for strains of ‘third-generation’ EPO, CERA, a substance also found in Manuel Beltran, Moises Duenas Nevado, and Riccardo Ricco during the Tour de France.
