Laraque’s allegations hurt NHL
George Laraque he is still getting under the skin of NHL players even after retiring long back from the NHL.
The ex-enforcer claims in his book “The Story of the NHL’s Unlikeliest Tough Guy” that the use of performance enhancing drugs was not contained to just enforcers like him but also extended to offensive stars.

According to a recent study by scientists from the University of California, preterm infants who are treated with glucocorticoids could be at a growing risk for damage to the cerebellum in the brain.
Glucocorticoids are generally administered to premature infants for lung maturation and normalization of breathing and blood pressure.

New regulations implemented by CHRB
New regulations surrounding the use of the bronchodilator, clenbuterol, in Quarter Horse racing at Los Alamitos Race Course have been implemented by the California Horse Racing Board (CHRB).
These regulations went into effect on October 14 and were prompted by the growing use of the substance as a replacement for anabolic steroids.

Drug charges against Mr Gay dropped
Mark Carter, a police officer and former Mr Gay UK, who was cleared of raping a man in June, has had the remaining charges against him dropped.
The 28-year-old Carter was due to face trial later this year on separate charges of possessing the anabolic steroid, stanozolol.

Anabolic steroid issue strike World Kabaddi Cup
The World Kabaddi Cup made headlines for the wrong reasons in sports magazines for reports that 13 of its players tested positive for anabolic steroids and stimulants.
The anti-doping tests conducted by the World Anti-Doping Agency (WADA) were part of the pre-tournament drug testing of the players.

Matt Hardy charged for drugs use
Former professional wrestler Matt Hardy has been charged with possession of steroids, according to the Moore County Sheriff’s Office.
The news comes just a few days after Hardy was charged with DWI for the second time in less than a month.

Kansas business owner indicted
In an indictment, Federal prosecutors alleged that a Kansas business owner and a Maryland doctor illegally distributed more than $1.3 million worth of anabolic steroids.
Baltazar, who allegedly wrote the prescriptions, did not see the patients in person, as per court records.

Methylphenidate (MPH), a medication used for treating sufferers of ADHD (attention deficit hyperactivity disorder), is rampantly abused by Korean students who want to improve their concentration.

No merit in court ruling, says NFL
The NFL has remarked that there is “no merit” to the court ruling that awarded Pat Williams and Kevin Williams a temporary restraining order.
The two were among six players suspended by the NFL for testing positive for a drug on the league’s list of banned substances.
