Since Greg Anderson, Barry Bonds‘ former trainer still hasn’t budged in agreeing to testify against the ex-Giants’ catcher for anabolic steroid use, the prosecution has doubled its efforts in getting more witnesses. The list includes Bonds’ former teammate Bobby Estalella, Bonds‘ former assistant and childhood friend Kathy Hoskins and her brother Steve Hoskins, and even Bonds’ ex-girlfriend Kim Bell.
An interesting new claim has been presented by the Hoskins duo and it may be key information to disprove Bonds’ former testimony during the BALCO investigations. Defense just learned that Kathy Hoskins will also be serving as a government witness and she may be quite reliable since she was also Bonds’ personal shopper and had traveled with the athlete several times.

And for the first time, prosecutors said they have a witness who says she saw Bonds being injected by Anderson - Hoskins, who is also the sister of Bonds’ former longtime business manager, Steve Hoskins, another key government witness.
In 2003, Steve Hoskins secretly tape-recorded a conversation in which Anderson described the regimen of undetectable drugs he was giving Bonds, the government says.
In Friday’s filing, prosecutors did not assert that the injection Bonds allegedly received from Anderson contained banned drugs. Nevertheless, the claim is significant, because in his testimony before the grand jury that investigated BALCO, Bonds said he had never received an injection of any kind from Anderson, saying he had received injections only from doctors.
Bonds’ ex-girlfriend Kim Bell will also be testifying that her then boyfriend admitted to her that he has been using steroids. Bell also observed some typical steroid effects such as changes in the sexual organs and acne formation on the back. Of course, the defense has long prepared for Bell’s testimony and is accusing the girl of using the publicity to promote her book.
