Receiver Dwayne Bowe of the Chiefs has been suspended for four games after being found guilty of violating the National Football league’s policy regarding anabolic steroids and related substances, as per recent reports.
This revelation suggests that either Bowe has exhausted internal appeals or decided not to appeal the suspension judgment. The substance used by Bowe is not known by yet and it is speculated that the use was made in the year 2008 or before.
From Profootballtalk.nbcsports.com:
The specific substance for which he tested positive isn’t known, and it’s possible that the violation occurred in 2008 or earlier. It’s also possible that Bowe didn’t test positive; some players have been suspended based on evidence of possession of banned substances.
He’ll miss games against the Steelers, Chargers, Broncos, and Bills. He’ll then return for the final three games of the year, against the Browns, Bengals, and Broncos.
It seems like the Chiefs have struggling to keep the team in check after a problem players landed with a new team some times back.
Whatever may be the reason of steroid policy violation, the fact that steroids and sports share a relationship is highlighted once again and it seems like sportsmen are using steroids despite tall claims from the doping officials. However, this time the doping officials just got “lucky” to get hold of a sportsman on steroids or prohibited substance.
