Olivier Renière banned
Steroids have once again brought trouble for the Canadian Interuniversity Sport (CIS) football.
A running back with the Université de Montréal Carabins, Olivier Renière, was found to be using a substance on the World Anti-Doping Agency’s 2011 “prohibited list” and will be banned for two years from all CIS sports.

Steroid ring suspects make court appearance
More than a dozen of the suspects arrested in a two-year multi-state and multi-agency investigation into a massive anabolic steroid ring appeared in the Warren County Court recently.
According to court officials, thirteen people accused of using or peddling the drugs faced a judge.

Drug charges against Mr Gay dropped
Mark Carter, a police officer and former Mr Gay UK, who was cleared of raping a man in June, has had the remaining charges against him dropped.
The 28-year-old Carter was due to face trial later this year on separate charges of possessing the anabolic steroid, stanozolol.

Women’s World Cup rocked by drug scandal
A total of five members of the North Korean team tested positive for a banned anabolic steroid at the women’s World Cup, according to the governing body of football.

Steroid charge denied by acquitted police officer
Pc Mark Carter, a West Yorkshire police officer and former Mr. Gay UK, has denied a drug offence alleging possession of an anabolic steroid.
Carter pleaded not guilty at Leeds Crown Court to a charge of possessing 277 tablets of a class C controlled drug Stanozolol on December 19, 2009.

The 25-year-old Japanese Greco-Roman wrestling champion Katsuya Kitamura has been banned for two years, according to the Japan Wrestling Federation.

Murray Inquiry adjourned by NSW Stewards
According to the Greyhound Racing NSW Stewards, the stewards inquiries into positives swab found in two greyhounds trained by New South Wales greyhound trainer Tim Murray has been adjourned.
