British sprinter loses appeal
Wyberton’s Team GB sprinter Bernice Wilson has failed in her appeal against a four-year suspension after a positive drugs test in June 2011.
The 27-year-old sprinter broke into the British team last year and competed at the European Indoor Championships and tested positive for two anabolic steroids.

Excess clenbuterol found in Quarter Horse World Champion
Freaky, the 2009 Quarter Horse World Champion, tested in excess of the permitted level of clenbuterol taken after his win in the Go Man Go Handicap at Los Alamitos on Sept. 11, according to a recently released California Horse Racing Board complaint.
According to racing board officials, Freaky will be disqualified from the $100,000 purse.

A ban of nearly three years for doping has been imposed on Liao Hui, the Chinese Olympic weightlifting champion.

New regulations implemented by CHRB
New regulations surrounding the use of the bronchodilator, clenbuterol, in Quarter Horse racing at Los Alamitos Race Course have been implemented by the California Horse Racing Board (CHRB).
These regulations went into effect on October 14 and were prompted by the growing use of the substance as a replacement for anabolic steroids.
